CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Guruprasad Rao teaches Biochemistry to first year MBBS, BDS and Allied Health Sciences students.

    He:

    • Is responsible for conduct of board of studies and Academic Council Meetings at MAHE
    • Uses various?pedagogic?approaches including lectures, SDL, CBL, PBL and practical sessions and is involved in the implementation of the integrated curriculum
    • Assesses?students through various tools such as essay, MCQ, objective structured practical examinations (OSPE) and viva-voce
    • Prepares university examination question paper for MBBS, BDS and Allied Health Science courses and designs problems for problem-based learning (PBL) sessions.
    • Is involved in the documentation of curriculum in the outcome-based format for MQA and institutional self-study report for NAAC accreditation
    • Is the nodal officer for the instituion?gathering?data as requested by various university departments/external agencies
    • Serves as a member of the MAHE PhD protocol committee and as a PhD guide
    • Is a member of the instititutional research committee and guides students for Mentored student project (MSP)
