Dr. Ananthu Sreekumar is an Assistant Professor of Media and Communication at the Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (DLHS), 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru. His research delves into the intersections and independent dimensions of culture, technology, and health. Before joining MAHE, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Studies at Christ University. He earned his PhD and MA in Media and Communication from 沙巴体育 Institute of Communication, MAHE 沙巴体育. Notably, his MA research on the experiences of Tinder users was pioneering, representing one of the earliest studies on dating apps in India. Beyond academia, Ananthu brings extensive professional experience in marketing communications, branding, and audio-visual production, cultivated through full-time, consulting, and independent creative projects.
