Assistant Professor-Selection Scale

Dr. N Kartik is currently working as Assistant Professor-Selection Grade at the Department of Commerce, MAHE Bengaluru. With over 12 years of academic experience, he specializes in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence in education. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Presidency University, Bangalore. His doctoral research focused on enhancing student academic performance prediction using Explainable AI (XAI) and deep learning models. He is also KSET qualified. Prior to joining MAHE, he served as Deputy Controller of Examinations at Presidency College (Autonomous), Bangalore, where he led end-to-end examination operations, implemented automation tools, and contributed to policy formulation. His work in institutional assessment and academic data reporting was instrumental in enhancing examination governance. Dr. Kartik has published in reputed journals and has co-authored six textbooks in Data Analytics, Programming for BCA students. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences and actively mentors students in analytics-driven projects. He has conducted multiple workshops in Data Analytics and R Programming. His academic contributions include developing customized examination software, automating internal academic processes, and designing insightful student performance dashboards. His teaching blends hands-on learning with real-time tools and industry relevance. A recipient of the Rashtrapati Scout Puraskar from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. His research interests include Educational Data Mining, Machine Learning, and academic process automation.
