A Seminar in hybrid mode was? organised ?on 9th March,2023 in commemoration of Women’s Day,2023, at the Board Room of MIT,? MAHE, Bengaluru Campus. The Seminar was organised as a way forward to start the discussion on Gender divide and technological accessibility in the context of W20 collaboration of MAHE ,the Official engagement group? of G20, espousing the cause of Gender Inequality.?

The theme of Women’s Day,?2023 “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”?reflected gender divide and digital accessibility in the context of sustainability. The duration of the event was two hours in the afternoon (2pm-4pm). Two illustrious panelists having expertise in the field of Cyber Law were invited to adorn the- Seminar. Dr.Nagarathna,?Associate Professor of Law,?Coordinator, Advanced Centre on 沙巴体育, Development and Training in Cyber Law and Forensics,?National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and?Smt.?Sudha Hooda,?Senior Legal Counsel and Executive Director, Board of Directors at?Nvidia?Graphics Pvt. Ltd.

Dr.Anuja .S Associate Professor, MLS welcomed the guests, outlining the significance of the Seminar and the theme.? Prof Dr.Avinash Dadhich set the tone for the Seminar. Ms.Hooda, enlightened the? concept of digital divide and gender equity issues at workspace with illustrations from the field. The idea of digital illiteracy which is synonymous with traditional illiteracy was highlighted. Dr.Nagarathna empowered the students as to the need for right to internet from a constitutional perspective highlighting the decisions from the Apex Court.?
