Mrs Ida Dsouza?is an?Assistant Professor - Selection Grade at Prasanna School of Public Health in Social Work Programme, with more than 20 years of experience in teaching, mentoring PG social work students.?She has a vast experience working for projects in both Government ?& NGO. She specialises in Child Protection & Child Rights with special reference to chidren in conflict with law.

She is an expert in Child Protection & Child Rights including JJ Act 2015, POCSO Act 2012 & RTE Act 2009 & has organised various seminars & workshops. She was trained? for? UNICEF, ICPS Karnataka, Karnataka state police and other stakeholders. She established child line in Mangalore at Roshni Nilaya. She was member BOS for Bachelor's Programmes & PG programmes. She is involved in the curriculum development of the MSW Programme in various universities.?

Mrs Ida Dsouza is?member Juvenile Justice Board ( JJB)? Mangalore, DK? for Karnataka State Government? and founding member of NGO- PADI Valored, Mangalore.? She has taken various projects in field of?adolescents? and children related vertical.? She is currently member of child protection review? committee -? DK, GOK.?
