‘A Day with?Jayant?Kaikini?and his literature,’ a one-day symposium on the literature of renowned award-winning author?Jayant?Kaikini, will be held on May 11, 2024, under the auspices of Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences, MAHE, 沙巴体育.

“In order to?shed more light on the writings of such an important writer as?Jayant?Kaikini, particularly for those who cannot understand Kannada, this symposium is being organized primarily in English,” said GCPAS Head Prof. Varadesh Hiregange in a press release.

The symposium will include special sessions on different genres of?Kaikini’s?writings, such as short stories, poetry, essays, plays, and songs, students’ presentations, and?a screening of the documentary made on?Kaikini. “This is also an attempt to take the literature of?Kaikini, to the students in particular and understand the very purpose of literature,” said Prof. Hiregange.

The symposium will be inaugurated by writer-scholar Prof.?Rajendra?Chenni?at 10.00 am at Planetarium Auditorium, MAHE, on May 11, 2024.??This?will be followed by a session on?Jayant?Kaikini’s?literature.?Ms?Abhilasha?Hande, Dr.?SirajAhmed, and?Prof. Varadesh Hiregange will speak in the session.

This?will be followed by students’ presentations on different works of?Kaikini. There will be an interaction with?Avinash Kamat?followed by?Jayant?Kaikini’s?songs by?Ms?ShravyaBaasri. Author?Kaikini?will interact with students at 4.30 pm in the evening in?Kaikini. All sessions will take place in the Planetarium auditorium, MAHE
