On March 12, 2024, Ms. Sumedha Sarkar, Advocate, Supreme Court of India delivered an insightful lecture on Federalism and Constitutional Litigation at 沙巴体育 Law School, MAHE-Bengaluru, organized by Dr. Ali Faran.

She explored the balance between rigidity and flexibility in federalism, the judiciary’s role in interpreting constitutional principles, and the challenges posed by legislative and executive discretion. A key focus was financial federalism, including borrowing constraints on states, with reference to State of Kerala v. Union of India.
