CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prof. Indranil has a unique academic and professional track record of being a scientist turned legal professional and he has a substantial combined experience of more than 15 years in the field of science, technology and law. He is an inventor, educationist, IPR specialist, registered Indian Patent Agent, innovation and technology transfer enthusiast, data privacy practitioner, fintech and artificial intelligence expert.
After Master's (M.Sc) in Physics from Presidency College (C.U), he completed his Ph.D from Dept. of Physics at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. Thereafter, Prof. Indranil completed his Post-Doctoral studies under the prestigious T.R.I.L Post-Doctoral Fellowship of UNESCO at Italy. Following this, Prof. Indranil ranked All India 5th in the IIT-Kharagpur All India Law Entrance Examination, and completed his LL.B (Honours in IPR) from Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT-Kharagpur. He has completed his LL.M in Corporate and Commercial Laws. He has worked with Tier-1 law firms in India like Luthra & Luthra, New Delhi as well as various other organizations of international repute in the field of law and innovation like IISc-Bangalore, UNESCO- Italy, Techno India University, GLA University, etc.
Prof. Indranil is currently working as an Associate Professor with MLS where he focuses on the LLM programs specializing in IT, data privacy, cyber laws and fintech. As far as undergraduate programs in law are concerned, he is involved in teaching and guiding students in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR). He is also the Chairperson of the IPR Cell of MLS, MAHE, Bengaluru campus.

TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER :
As a seasoned IPR and technology transfer professional, Prof. Indranil has been involved in 12 scientific projects which led to technology transfer with NRDC, Govt. of India in his professional career.
INVITED SPEAKER IN CONFERENCE/SEMINAR :
Prof. Saha has been invited speaker in several conferences and seminars including several IIT’S and NLU’s in the field of intellectual property rights, technology transfer, fintech and data privacy.
Publications :
Prof. Indranil has 12 original research article publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
PATENTS :
Prof. Indranil has 01 granted patent from Indian Patent Office as an inventor and 10 filed patent applications as an inventor at the Indian Patent Office.
