Professor Katherine Schipper
Prof. Katherine Schipper is the Thomas F. Keller Professor of Business Administration at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She holds a BA degree summa cum laude from the University of Dayton, MBA, MA and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago and honorary degrees from Notre Dame University, the Norwegian School of Economics, the Stockholm School of Economics and the Singapore Management University.?
Prof. Schipper has published research papers on topics in financial reporting, corporation finance and corporate governance. She is a frequent speaker on matters related to international accounting convergence, financial reporting standard setting and financial reporting quality. She has been named the American Accounting Association’s Outstanding Educator and Distinguished 沙巴体育 Lecturer and has been elected to the Accounting Hall of Fame.
She has served the American Accounting Association as Director of 沙巴体育, as President and as President of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section. She has served the 沙巴体育 Association for Accounting Education and 沙巴体育 as Vice President-沙巴体育 and she is currently serving as President. She is or has been a member of the governing boards of two public companies, a mutual fund and a not-for-profit entity.
Professor Sanjay Kallapur
Prof. Kallapur has a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard Business School, and B.Com. and M.M.S. degrees from Mumbai University. He is professionally qualified as a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (FCMA).
Prof. Kallapur conducts research on financial and managerial accounting, auditing, corporate governance, and risk management. He has published in each of the top three accounting journals and his papers have been cited over 4,000 times (Google Scholar) and in regulatory policy documents in India and the UK.
He is the founding editor-in-chief of Accounting Theory and Practice, a research journal focusing on India, published by Elsevier. He has been an editor of The Accounting Review from 2008 to 2011, the first person from outside North America to be appointed to that position.
Prof. Kallapur is a member of National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA), the regulatory body overseeing the accounting and auditing of listed companies in India. He is an independent director on the Board of IDBI Bank, where he serves on the risk management and audit committees. He previously served on the Board of the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Professor Partha Sarathy Mohanram
Prof. Mohanram is the John H. Watson Chair in Value Investing and the Director of the CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting Innovation 沙巴体育. He obtained his PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University, MBA from IIM – Ahmedabad and B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT-Madras. ?He has published extensively in the areas of financial statement analysis, valuation of growth firms, implied cost of capital and executive compensation. His recent work is in the area of social media, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
He is the Editor-in-chief of Contemporary Accounting 沙巴体育 and serves on the editorial board of The Accounting Review and Review of Accounting Studies. His research work has won numerous awards including the Haim Falk award from the CAAA (2017), the Rotman research impact award (2018) and the Notable Contributions Award from the AAA (2022).
Professor Shivaram Rajgopal
Prof. Rajgopal is the?Roy Bernard Kester and T.W. Byrnes Professor of Accounting and Auditing at Columbia Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Iowa. In addition, he holds a Chartered Accountancy certification and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from India. He worked at Citibank N.A. for three years before deciding to pursue his doctoral studies.
He is a leading expert on measuring how well managers serve as responsible stewards of the corporation’s resources. Prof. Rajgopal has been internationally recognized for his scholarship on several occasions. He has a passion for bridging academic theory with policy setting and corporate practice. He publishes op-eds in the Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal and Barron’s. His work is frequently cited in the popular press, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Fortune, Forbes, Financial Times, Business Week, and the Economist.?
