Dr. Rupakjyoti Borah awarded Australian Fellowship

Dr. Rupakjyoti Borah, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geopolitics and 沙巴体育 Relations, 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education, is one of the four, in the country, selected for the 2011-12 Australian Studies Fellowship awarded by the Australian Government and the Australia-India Council. He is selected for the senior category.
?The lead partner in the consortium, which awards the fellowship is Monash University. All fellowship holders are expected to visit the Australian National University in Canberra, the University of Queensland in Brisbane, the University of New 沙巴体育 Wales in Sydney, the University of 沙巴体育 Australia in Adelaide, The University of Western Australia in Perth, as well as Monash University in Melbourne.
This scholarship provides an opportunity for Indian scholars to extend their knowledge of Australia and Australian studies, and to develop collaborations with scholars in Australia.
Dr Borah was a Visiting Fellow at the Centre of 沙巴体育 Studies, University of Cambridge, U.K. in 2009 and holds a Ph.D. from the School of 沙巴体育 Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
He has delivered lectures at the University of Western Australia, Perth (2003), the Australian National University, Canberra (2005) and at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (2007) and several others.
He was interviewed on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and has published extensively in journals, books, magazines, newspapers and websites both in India and abroad.? He also secured a grant from the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) to present a paper at an international conference in Australia.
