Dr. Sharath has been serving the Department of Orthopaedics, Kasturba Hospital, 沙巴体育 as the Head of Unit – V since 2000. He was the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, KMC, 沙巴体育 during 2009-2014.? He has also served as the Associate Dean of KMC, 沙巴体育 during 2015-2019. He was appointed as the Dean of KMC, 沙巴体育 in August 2019. He is in present position of Pro Vice Chancellor of Health Science since 2023.

A renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon in the field of complex trauma, joint replacement and knee arthroscopy, Dr. Sharath served as the President of the Karnataka Orthopaedic Association in 2013 and President of the Orthopaedic Association of 沙巴体育 Indian States (OASIS) in the year 2018. He also served as the Executive Council Member and Chairman of AO Trauma India.

Dr. Sharath has to his credit 99 publications in indexed journals. He has also published several chapters in books related to trauma, joint replacement, and arthroscopy. He has delivered lecturers and conducted workshops in Europe, the USA, 沙巴体育 America, 沙巴体育east Asia, Australia, and New Zealand on AO Trauma. He is a renowned speaker in the field of Complex Trauma, Anthroscopy and Arthroplasty in conferences and CMEs all over India and overseas.
