One of the main goals of the UN Sustainable Development Goals is to provide quality education to increase socioeconomic upward mobility and to reduce poverty among low and middle income countries. to achieve this goal, all Universities are expected to have different community driven schemes which enable students from these countries to have access to quality education at minimal costs. To help students from low and middle income countries, 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), offers subsidized fee structures to students from SAARC countries. For instance, there is a subsidized fee structure for SAARC (Asia region) countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal, and the fee structure is 1.25 times less than that of the Domestic fee. Additionally, there is also a subsidized fee structure for candidates admitted from Non-SAARC (Outside Asia) countries such as Angola, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Ghana, Iraq, Indonesia, Kenya, Laos, Lesotho, Myanmar, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe and the fee structure is 1.25 times less than that of the Domestic fee. Study in India (SII) is an initiative of Government of India (GOI) and the main aim of this initiative is to admit foreign nationals to different Universities of India. The candidates who are allotted through SII are offered a 25 % or 50 % scholarship from their fees, which are categorized as 沙巴体育 Fees. In addition to this initiative, the Government of India also offers MEA - COMPEX Scholarship for Nepal nationals as well. As part of this scheme, the candidates are offered a fee which is 1.25 times less than that of the Domestic fee. By providing these various forms of subsidized fee structures, 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education, intends to provide a holistic environment to foreign national students, belonging to low and middle income countries.?
