SEARCH – The Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Health Sciences Library and Department of Library and Information Science, MAHE, 沙巴体育 organized the Librarians’ Day Celebration on Monday, August 12, 2024 (15:00 hours IST) on the Premises of Seminar Room, 4th Level (right wing), KMC Health Sciences Library, MAHE, 沙巴体育.
Dr Teddy Andrews J J (Faculty, MSW Programme, DoSHI, PSPH, MAHE, 沙巴体育) delivered a lecture regarding the topic “Building Resilience: Thriving in a Fast-Paced Work and Personal Life”.
August 12 is?the birthday?of the Father of Library Science, Padmashree Dr S R Ranganathan, and his birthday is Librarians’ Day celebrated?in our country.? Library professionals, semi-professionals and other library staff members?of MAHE libraries, and the students of the Department of Library and Information Science were the participants?of this event.
In the session, Dr Teddy Andrews highlighted the importance of daily practising gratitude, self-love, kindness, walking with mindfulness, observing nature, listening to birds' chirping sounds, communicating/spending more time with parents, children, and other family members, helping others and getting away from comparing with others, gossiping, and rat race. Through the session he cautioned the participants about the impact of negative thinking on their physical and mental health. This thought-provoking interactive session greatly helped the staff members of MAHE Libraries, 沙巴体育, and Department of Library and Information Science students professionally and personally.??
