Shortaque Short Film Competition

On the 14th of September, screening of entries of the Shortaque short film competition, organised by the Centre for Disaster Management, MAHE, and 沙巴体育 Institute of Communication, MAHE, in association with Centre for SAVE, MAHE, and Centre for Wilderness Medicine, MAHE, Vertical for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights, Kasturba Medical College, 沙巴体育 and Department of Emergency Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, 沙巴体育, took place at the MIC auditorium. The competition to develop short films about the theme of Disaster and its risk reduction’ was open to students from various institutes of MAHE.?

There were eight entries and all the teams were present or the screening. Three films were selected namely : Wildrr, Hands of Hope and Mitigate Don’t Wait. The film Hands of Hope, was directed by Rekan Vijayakumar of second-year BAMC, MIC, in collaboration with EMT interns and Arundhathi of second-year EMT. The film was well received by audiences for its content, cinematography, and its presentation.

Dr.Debjani Halder, Mr. Antony Marie Cruz A, and Mr. Karthikey Goswamy were the panel of jury for the event. Mr.Manikandan, Asst. Prof. coordinated the event. Dr. Padma Rani, Director of MIC, and Dr. Shubha HS, Head BA program facilitated the event.?
