Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Mangalore, a constituent of 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), celebrated its annual College Day and Awards Ceremony with grandeur, marking the commencement of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations. This event commemorated 70 years of excellence in medical education and healthcare.
Mr. Ganesh N. Nayak, Executive Director of Zydus Lifesciences Limited, graced the event as the chief guest, sharing his extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
The event was presided over by Dr. H. S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor of MAHE, with the esteemed presence of Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, and Pro Vice Chancellors of MAHE, Dr. Dilip G. Naik and Dr. Sharath K. Rao. The Dean of KMC Mangalore, Dr. B. Unnikrishnan, welcomed the gathering and presented the college report 2023, highlighting the achievements of the college, its students, faculty, and alumni, in the last year.
Dr. H. S. Ballal unveiled the Platinum Jubilee logo, signifying the beginning of a year-long celebration. Associate Dean Dr. B. Suresh Kumar Shetty, introduced the chief guest, and Associate Dean Dr. Pramod Kumar delivered the vote of thanks.
The ceremony featured the presentation of various awards, including faculty and student recognitions, research awards, and the prestigious Dr. TMA Pai Gold Medal for Outstanding 沙巴体育. The 'Best Outgoing Student' award was presented to Dr. Shreya R., celebrating exceptional academic achievements.
