Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Shines at Utsav 2024

From April 2nd to April 5th, 26 constituent units under the esteemed 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) group came together to celebrate the vibrant cultural extravaganza, Utsav 2024. Amidst fierce competition and an atmosphere brimming with talent, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore, showcased its prowess and emerged as the 2nd runners up in this grand event.

Participating in a total of 40 literary, art, and cultural events, the students of KMC Mangalore displayed their versatility and creativity across various domains. Their exceptional performances were recognized with a multitude of prizes and accolades.

Literary & Art Events:

- Rishit Anand: 3rd place in Hindi poetry.

- Shreya Dutta: 3rd place in cartooning.

- Akshya Gayathri: 3rd place in spot photography competition.

- Raj Amrit Ranjan, Shrutika, and Mihir Tripathi: 3rd in installation art.

- Chaitra Shet, Akshatha, and Tanya Kapoor: 2nd in Rangoli * Bhuvi Jetly and Shreya Dutta: 2nd place in debate * Ronel Fernandes: 1st in Just-A-Minute (JAM) * Rishit Anand: 2nd place in extempore * Trisha Rajeev, Janaki N O, and Rishika P : 3rd in Clay modelling

Performing Arts:

- Disha Girish: 1st prize in Indian Classical Dance

- Western Dance group: 1st prize * Western Vocal Group : 2nd prize

Furthermore, Dr. Nayanatara AK from the Physiology department secured the 3rd prize in the non-vegetarian cooking competition held for the staff Utsav on March 15.

The valedictory function held on April 5th marked the culmination of this exhilarating cultural journey. The Western Dance group was chosen to perform for the Best of Utsav 2024 segment before the valedictory ceremony. Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, takes pride in its students' outstanding performances and looks forward to continuing its legacy of excellence in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.
