Damon Hands – on Workshop

The resource person was Dr. Gurkeerat Singh, a world renowned clinician with several years of experience with the Damon technique. He is also an alumnus of our college. The inaugural program was graced by Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Dean, MCODS, Mangalore as the honorable Chief Guest. Dr. Ashita Uppoor and Dr. Premalatha Shetty, Associate Deans, MCODS, Mangalore and Dr. Karthik Shetty, Co-ordinator, CADE and Dr. Arathi Rao, Co-ordinator,? 沙巴体育 Relations, MCODS, Mangalore were also present for the ceremony.

The workshop was the first of the three modules on the Damon technique to be held this year. This technique is a state of the art appliance in fixed orthodontics and requires deep understanding of its philosophy to get the best treatment outcome. It was conducted in the Department of Orthodontics, MCODS, Mangalore.The participants were restricted to fifteen, to facilitate individual attention and one on one discussions. The first day began with a comprehensive lecture and introduction to the Damon technique, followed by detailed discussions on cases treated by the resource person. The afternoon session consisted of bonding of Damon brackets under the expert guidance of Dr. Gurkeerat.
