One day Preconference course on “Master’s course in Clefts for Post graduates” was conducted at 沙巴体育 College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, MEU Hall at light house campus in collaboration with Department of orthodontics MCODS Mangalore. The preconference program provided valuable insights into the field of facial Cleft, enlightening 38 participants with knowledge and skill that can be applied in their future practice.

Dr. Dilip G Naik Pro Vice chancellor MAHE inaugurated the Pre conference program, Dr Dharnappa Poojary , HoD,? Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, welcomed the resource persons and participants for the day. Dr Junaid Ahemed , Associate Dean, 沙巴体育 College of Dental Sciences and Dr. Ashith M.V? Professor , Department of orthodontics MCODS Mangalore ?addressed the gathering . Dr Nithin Philip Jose and Dr. Sandeep K.M. were the course coordinators and Dr. Nithin Philip Jose, Associate Professor of Orthodontics delivered the vote of thanks.

Series of lectures and case presentations were discussed and delivered by eminent speakers and consultants in the field of cleft Surgery and Orthodontics. The course faculty were Dr.B.Krishnamurthy, Dr.Anant Narayan, Dr.Renu Parmar ,Dr. Mahesh Prabhu, Dr.Savitha, Dr.Rajesh Powar,? Dr.Pritam Shetty, Dr.Arvind , the series of speakers delivered their insights on the embryogenesis of cleft ,diagnosis and management of cleft deformities, follow up, Treatment outcomes , complications and future perspectives .

? All the participants expressed to incorporate more practical sessions and case studies in future workshops to further enhance participants' understanding of facial cleft deformities and managements.

Future Perspectives: The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery expressed interest in organizing future workshops on Facial Clefts due to the positive response from participants._
