The Annual Sports and Athletics Meet, COLOSSEUM2018 of the School of Management (SOM), 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) was successfully held at MIT Athletics Ground, 沙巴体育 on 13th December 2018. The chief guest of the inaugural function was the rising star in the national powerlifting championship, Swathi, who hails from Karkala. Inaugurating the Meet, Swathi advised the management students, “Sportspersons must accept win and loss with equanimity. When you lose, stay put and work hard to win the next game. Sports and athletics always engender strong body and mind.” Dr. Vinod C Nayak, Secretary Sports Council MAHE and Professor and Head Department of Forensic Medicine, KMC 沙巴体育 was the Guest of Honor. In the colorful valedictory function held in the evening, the chief guest Capt. M.C. Belliappa, Director Projects MAHE, reinforcing the message of Swathi, asked the athletes and students ‘never to quit.’ Dr. Raveendranath Nayak, Director School of Management gave the welcome speech. SOM’s Dr. Kavitha T C, Sports Coordinator, Narayana Prabhu, Assistant Physical Education Director, and Sachin Shetty, President Sports and Athletics Club were present.
