Wine & Dine 2019

Food is important in the enjoyment of wine. We at Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration know this; that is why we hosted a Wine & Dine evening. On Wednesday, 30 January 2019, WGSHA partnered with one of India’s best artisanal winery to host a fabulous, one-of-a-kind evening featuring a full four-course dinner paired exclusively with wines from Fratelli.

Attendees got the chance to meet and hear from Fratelli sommelier, Ratish Someshekharan who touched upon the history of wine, viticulture, vinification, wine tasting and understanding a wine label. This unique experience that featured Fratelli’s premier wines carefully paired with a creative, contemporary continental menu allowed diners to discover nuances in how food and wine interact. This truly memorable experience left the guests satisfied, full, and happy. Menu Chenin blanc, Fratelli, 2018 Chicken liver and prune canapé or Classic cheese mousse canapé Rustic tomato soup with pesto & garlic crisp Cabaernet sauvignon and Shiraz, Fratelli, 2018 Pistachio & thyme crusted pan-seared chicken with pumpkin, saffron mash and pan gravy or Home-made poached potato gnocchi with chestnut purée and sundried tomato, caper and olive compote Gran Cuvee Brut, Chenin blanc, Fratelli, NV Strawberry shortcake with sabayon sauce.
