The Best Concept Poster Award was bagged by Ms Japman Kaur, a second year BPharm student of MCOPS, for her simple, realistic and invaluable idea of (Re)Birth at 4^th National Conference on Youth in Social Change. The conference was held on 16-17 September 2023 at Dr TMA Pai Halls, MAHE, 沙巴体育. The concept of (Re)Birth revolves around mothers in the post-pregnancy phase. Approximately 10-15% of new mothers experience postpartum depression (PPD). Motivating her to provide support for them to reclaim their identity, prioritize self-care, and establish a secure space would help her to attain normalcy. It is essential to raise awareness about PPD among older generations, and Japman’s goal is to shed light on this issue, reassuring mothers that they are not isolated in their struggles. Her vision involves creating a platform where mothers can connect with online therapists and fellow new mothers to discuss their challenges, with future plans to establish walk-in centres, particularly for women. She aspires to transform this concept into a reality, recognizing that mothers get all the assistance needed for them.
