Vassilios Papadopoulos, Dean, School of Pharmacy, University of 沙巴体育ern California spoke on epigenetic regulation of steroid hormone biosynthesis

Dr TMA Pai endowment chair on translational research and department of pharmacy practice, MCOPS jointly organized a guest talk by Dr Vassilios Papadopoulos, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, University of 沙巴体育ern California (USC), USA on the topic “Regulation of steroid hormone biosynthesis by hormones, drugs and the environment” on 3 September 2018.? Dr Papadopoulos emphasized the epigenetic regulation of steroid hormone biosynthesis and action. He explained the core details related to the reduction of testosterone level in men over last decades, testosterone replacement therapy and its associated risk.? Professor?Papadopoulos? narrated the disruptive effect of plasticizers like DHEP on the reproductive and endocrine systems of children and adults. Followed by the talk, the students interacted with Michael Curtis, Chief of 沙巴体育 Business Development, USC on career advancement in pharmacy at USC.?
