September 22, 2022
?
For the first time, a team from the Department of Pharmacy Practice, MCOPS, KMC 沙巴体育, and 沙巴体育 Institute of Technology (MIT) has developed a new machine learning-based tool that could help doctors distinguish between different tropical diseases, including dengue and malaria. The tool used the multi-nominal regression analysis and a machine-learning algorithm for the diagnosis of tropical infection, which was published in PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases. ??The study is the first of its kind wherein both statistical and machine learning approaches were explored simultaneously for differentiating tropical infections. This project was done as part of postgraduate work under the guidance of Dr. Girish Thunga, Department of Pharmacy Practice MCOPS. This work was highlighted in the reputed USA-based website Interesting Engineering which publishes leading innovative research across the world (https://interestingengineering.com/search).?
