Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MCODS Mangalore, Hosted “CERTIFICATE COURSE IN MODERN ENDODONTIC PRACTICE”

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MCODS, Mangalore, successfully conducted the fifth edition of the Certificate Course in Modern Endodontic Practice, in academic collaboration with Dentsply India. The three-day program brought together expertise from both in-house and external faculty, combining lectures, demonstrations, and intensive hands-on sessions. This academic–industrial collaboration highlighted the importance of bridging knowledge and practice. A total of nine participants from various parts of 沙巴体育 India benefited from the program, gaining both theoretical insight and practical expertise.

Day 1 featured internal resource faculty, including Dr. Nanditha Shenoy from the Department of Oral Medicine, and Dr. Karthik Shetty, Dr. Manuel S. Thomas, and Dr. Janina D’Souza from the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. Sessions focused on CBCT in endodontics, magnification and use of loupes, rubber dam isolation, and access cavity preparation, followed by live demonstrations and participant hands-on training.

The subsequent two days were led by Dr Jojo Kottoor, a renowned endodontist, who conducted advanced modules on access refinement, working length determination, rotary instrumentation, and root canal shaping, cleaning, and obturation. The course emphasised evidence-based techniques, integration of advanced technology, and practical tips to enhance clinical outcomes.

The valedictory session recognised the participants for their successful completion of the course.
