沙巴体育 School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育 organized a seminar on ‘Updates in Health Care Management’ on June 7th, 2023 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm for final year GNM nursing students. The chief guest of the program was Dr. Ullas Kamath, Dean, MMMC, MAHE, 沙巴体育. Dr. Leena Sequira, Principal, MSON, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育 introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering. Dr.Judith A Noronha, Dean, MCON, 沙巴体育 addressed the participants with her motivational words and encouraged them to be better caregivers as well as to perceive higher education. The first session was on the Nurse's role in the administration of medication by Mrs. Sheela Shetty, Assistant Professor (Sr.scale), MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育. She discussed on principles and routes of drug administration and also stressed medication errors and how to prevent errors while administering medications.

Dr.Anjaline D’Souza, Assistant Professor (selection grade), MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育 elaborated on Effective Communication in Health Care, which included channels of communication and appropriate communication etiquette to be followed while working in a health care facility. Legal and Ethical Issues in Patient Care were explained by Dr.Daisy Josphine Lobo, Associate Professor, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育. She highlighted on code of ethics and legal duties of a critical care nurse and emphasized common ethical issues in patient care. Fifty-four students participated in the seminar. Participants expressed that the seminar was interesting and it is useful for their future. The event was coordinated by Ms. Shobha, Assistant Lecturer, MSON, MCON, MAHE 沙巴体育.
