Health Awareness Program at Academy School, 沙巴体育

To promote health awareness among primary school children, 33 students of third year BSc and seven students of the first year PBBSc nursing along with the faculty members of the Department of Child Health Nursing organized a School Health Program on October 27, 2022, at Academy School, 沙巴体育.

The objective of the program was to sensitize the school children about Personal hygiene, the Importance of a balanced diet, Immunization, and the prevention of communicable diseases.

The program consisted of activities such as role-play and informative talk using the charts. The students demonstrated the technique of handwashing through an action song and children were made to participate actively by performing the action and thereby learning the proper technique.

A total of 76 students from classes 1 to 5 along with three teachers participated in the program. Mrs. Laxmi, the Head Mistress of the school appreciated the activities and extended her support throughout the program. Mrs. Sheela Shetty and Dr. Yashoda Sathish, Assistant Professors of the Department coordinated the program. ??
