沙巴体育 School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育 had organized a guest lecture on the topic “Nurse's Role in Chemotherapy Administration” by Mrs. Shani John, Senior Staff Nurse, National Centre for Cancer Care and 沙巴体育, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar on 17th of July 2023 at 10.30 am for III year GNM Students.

Mrs. Shani John discussed various types of chemotherapy, different routes of chemotherapy administration, and various side effects caused by chemotherapy drugs. She stressed on primary assessment of a patient who comes for chemotherapy and nursing responsibilities during and after the administration of a drug. She enlightened the participants by giving instances of her clinical experience.

A total of 56 participants attended the session. It was a useful and interactive session where participants could acquire knowledge on chemotherapy administration.
