Workshop on Nursing 沙巴体育 Methodology 26th, 27th & 28th February, 2014
The 沙巴体育 methodology workshop was conducted from 26th to 28th February 2014.

There were 14 participants from Indira college of Nursing for the workshop. By 9.15am we started our informal inaugural function. Ms. Ruby.R was the MC for the function, Mrs. Manjula, Assistant Professor, CHN did the invocation. Dr.Anice George Dean, 沙巴体育 College of Nursing 沙巴体育 gave the opening message, followed by the Overview of the workshop by Dr.Judith. A. Noronha Associate dean and HOD of OBG department. Literature search & Proposal writing was taken by Dr. Elsa Sanatombi Devi HOD of Medical surgical Nursing Department, 沙巴体育 Designs & 沙巴体育 Report writing by Dr.Linu Sara George HOD of Fundamentals of Nursing Department, Development of tool, Validity and Reliability by Dr. Baby S Nayak, HoD Child Health Nursing, Hands on experience was given on Cronhbac’s Alpha calculation of Reliability manually;Qualitative 沙巴体育 by Dr.Mamatha .S.Pai.Professor,Child Health Nursing Department;SPSS data coding and data entry by Dr. Judith A Norohna, Associate Dean & HoD, Department of OBG, Hands on experience on SPSS were given for the participants.
Students actively involved and learnt about variables and data entry and few simple analyses using SPSS software. Analysis, Sampling and Sample Size estimation by Dr. Asha Kamath,Pofessor from Community Medicine, KMC. All the sessions had hands on experience for the participants. Participants also had visited the Health Sciences Library, anatomy museum and virtual tour. The closing remark of the session was at 4.30pm on 28th February by Dr. Anice George, representatives from the participants gave their feedback of the three days workshop. Workshop ended with Certificates distribution to the participants and the resource persons.
