Report of the Guest Lecture

Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, 沙巴体育 College of Nursing, 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education, 沙巴体育 organized a Guest Lecture on “Facilitating high-quality virtual simulation” on September 30, 2020, between 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm for faculty members through Microsoft Team Platform. Dr Beena Joseph, Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator, University of Houston, College of Nursing, Houston, Texas, USA, and adjunct faculty, MCON, MAHE 沙巴体育, was the resource person.

She described various steps involving conducting virtual simulation to assess student learning, using a simulation conducted and evaluated by the mentors, faculty members, and examiners. She even explained the simulation setting at her place, which consists of advanced lab mimicking actual patient scenarios and highlighting the role of faculty and training requirements for practice.

The webinar was attended by 51 faculty members from MCON, MSON, MAHE, and other nursing colleges.
