沙巴体育 engagement Guest Lecture Series - 08/2024

An alumni guest lecture was arranged by the Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, 沙巴体育 College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE, 沙巴体育 for the UG and PG nursing students on December 10, 2024 online mode. The resource person was Dr G Balamurugan, Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, NIMHANS, Bangalore.

He is an alumna of MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育: MSc (N) 2004-2006 batch. Dr Balamurugan deliberated a session on “Tele-MANAS".? He explained the importance of telepsychiatry, its advantages, and the scope of Tele-MANAS. There was active interaction between the students and the resource person, which led to a good learning experience. A total of 75 participants (students from 5^th?semester BSc, 2^nd?year MSc Nursing, and department faculty) attended the session.?Organizing interactions with experts in the field and preparing student nurses for future healthcare services aligns with the UN's sustainable goals, specifically SDG 4 and 5: Good health, well-being, and Quality education.
